About this opportunity

The Small Business Administration is soliciting applications for the Supply Chain Acceleration and Logistics Enablement (SCALE) Program with an application deadline of August 7, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Eligible applicants are public or private entities, nonprofit organizations (501(c)(3) and non-501(c)(3)), tribal organizations (not federally recognized), for-profit organizations, higher education institutions (public and private), and city or county governments that deliver accelerator programming, technical assistance, industry engagement, or implementation-focused activities supporting small business participation in strategically important supply chains.

The SBA will award approximately 20 grants totaling $9 million, with a maximum of $500,000 per award. The 24-month period of performance begins September 30, 2026. Recipients must not expend federal funds directly to participating small businesses or contract more than 49 percent of work to third parties; organizations cannot act as pass-through entities.

The program targets six priority supply chain sectors: Advanced Manufacturing; Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing; Defense Industrial Base Technologies and Components; Energy, Critical Materials, and Industrial Inputs; Food Supply and Agricultural Systems; and Transportation, Logistics, and Industrial Infrastructure. SCALE supports small businesses in overcoming operational, technical, workforce, and market access barriers to participation and growth as suppliers.

Proposals are evaluated on a 100-point scale: 80 points for technical approach (supply chain challenge identification, small business support programming, and key milestones) and 20 points for organizational qualifications (mission viability, project team qualifications, data collection capabilities, and relevant experience). Recipients must submit quarterly financial reports (SF-425) and performance reports within 15 days of quarter completion, with annual and final reports due 30 and 120 days after their respective periods, and comply with 2 CFR Parts 200 and 2701.

The Assistance Listing number is 59.065 (Growth Accelerator Fund Competition). The funding opportunity number is SBA-OIIGA-26-001. An industry webinar is scheduled for July 14, 2026, with a recording available within 5–6 days thereafter.
