About this opportunity

The Secondary Education Two-Year Postsecondary Education and Agriculture in the K-12 Classroom Challenge Grants Program seeks to enhance agricultural education curricula, increase faculty competencies, promote student interest in food and agriculture careers, and support K-12 agriculture in the classroom initiatives. The National Institute of Food and Agriculture within the United States Department of Agriculture is soliciting applications to support academic instruction at secondary schools, community colleges, and with nonprofit organizations. Projects must focus on curriculum development, partnerships, or agriculture education and be 24-36 months in duration; the application deadline is March 8, 2024.

Individual awards between $50,000 and $150,000 are expected to be made, for total projected program funding of $900,000. The anticipated number of grants is 6-8. Project work would be performed at the recipient organizations and with partner schools and institutions nationwide to strengthen secondary and postsecondary agricultural education.
