About this opportunity

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking applications from eligible applicants, including higher education institutions, non-profit and for-profit organizations, and state/local governments, for the Regional Alliances and Multistakeholder Partnerships to Stimulate (RAMPS) Cybersecurity Education and Workforce Development program. The program aims to establish community-based partnerships that develop cybersecurity career pathways to address local workforce needs by organizing multiple employers to focus on developing skilled cybersecurity professionals within local or regional economies. Applicants must demonstrate partnerships including at least one higher education or training organization and one local employer, and proposals will be evaluated based on project approach, potential impact, staff capabilities, and budget alignment. The application deadline is July 1, 2025.

NIST anticipates funding up to sixteen cooperative agreements, each worth up to $200,000, with a project performance period of two years. A non-federal cost share of at least 50% is required, and the program is funded under the Science, Technology, Business and/or Education Outreach Federal Grant Program (CFDA Number 11.620). The awards are expected to be processed by September 2025, with the earliest start date in October 2025.
