About this opportunity
The Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) is requesting required documents from an incumbent awardee by September 9, 2026, to provide continuation funding for a subsequent budget period under a project awarded competitively in Fiscal Year 2024 through the OVW Training and Technical Assistance Initiative (CFDA 16.526). This is a non-competitive continuation action structured as a cooperative agreement.
The incumbent recipient must submit the required documents by the September 9 deadline to remain eligible for non-competing renewal. OVW considers renewals on a case-by-case basis and will notify applicants by the end of the fiscal year upon approval. The Authorized Representative must accept the award online through the Department of Justice's JustGrants system.
The Technical Assistance Initiative provides training and technical assistance to support communities, nonprofit organizations, tribal entities, and institutions of higher education in developing effective responses to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Awards support direct training delivered to current and potential OVW grantees and subgrantees, including educational initiatives, conferences, peer-to-peer learning, targeted consultations, and capacity-building activities designed to strengthen criminal and civil justice system responses and victim service provider operations nationwide.
Financial records, supporting documents, statistical records, and all other records pertinent to the award must be retained for three years from the date of submission of the final expenditure report. Recipients must comply with the current version of the DOJ Financial Grants Management Guide. No statutory rights of appeal apply to this program.
