About this opportunity
The Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs (OVC) is seeking applications for the FY 25 Technology to Support Services for Victims of Crime grant opportunity. The grant has two distinct funding categories: Category 1 focuses on advancing technology use by victim service organizations to improve victim interactions and service quality, while Category 2 aims to build state-level technology capacity for victim services. Eligible applicants include higher education institutions, nonprofits, government entities, tribal organizations, and state administering agencies. Successful applicants will need to demonstrate innovative strategies for enhancing technological approaches to victim support, with a primary goal of improving accessibility, responsiveness, and service efficiency. The application deadline is August 15, 2025, with the solicitation posted on July 22, 2025, under the Crime Victim Assistance/Discretionary Grants program (CFDA 16.582).
While specific award amounts are not explicitly detailed, the related grant program typically provides funding ranging from $163,224 to $4,989,850, with most awards falling between $200,000 and $500,000. The performance period is expected to span two to three years, likely running from October 1 of the award year to September 30 of the subsequent years. Applicants must choose and apply to only one of the two funding categories, with the grant to be administered through a cooperative agreement mechanism. The program will prioritize proposals that demonstrate clear technological innovations and strategies for improving victim services across various communities and contexts.
