About this opportunity
This Federal Grant Opportunity provides ongoing workload-based administrative funding for the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) program under the CARES Act. The Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration is administering the grant, which requires states to submit an SF-424 form to apply for continued funding for PUA, as well as the Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC), Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation (FPUC), and Mixed Earners Unemployment Compensation (MEUC) programs. The funding period is from July 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025, and administrative earnings will be based on reported workload activities, except for FPUC which will use reported administrative costs. The grant is subject to sequestration, and states must submit quarterly financial reports.
The funding amounts will be determined based on each state's reported workload activities for the applicable CARES Act programs. The grant opportunity is open to state workforce agencies, and the application deadline is 30 days after the publication date of the Unemployment Insurance Program Letter (UIPL), which was November 12, 2024.
