Following peer review, NINDS will prioritize the highest-scoring studies for implementation within StrokeNet. The NIH StrokeNet National Coordinating Center will support efficient implementation, the National Data Management Center will provide statistical and data management services, and Regional Coordinating Centers and affiliated clinical sites will support recruitment, retention, and protocol implementation.

The funding opportunity falls under CFDA 93.853 (Extramural Research Programs in the Neurosciences and Neurological Disorders). Evaluation criteria include scientific merit and significance of proposed objectives, technical adequacy of experimental design, investigator competency, facility and resource adequacy, budget necessity, and relevance to program objectives. The source does not specify award amounts, award ceiling, expected number of awards, cost share requirements, or period of performance duration.
