About this opportunity

The National Institutes of Health is forecasting a limited competition grant or cooperative agreement to establish a Social, Behavioral, and Economic Coordinating Center; applications are not being solicited at this time, and only prior recipients of RFA-AG-21-035 funding and NIA recipients under PAR-21-213 are eligible to apply. This is a restricted eligibility opportunity with no application deadline announced in the forecast.

The Coordinating Center will build on prior work to inform pandemic response serving all Americans through three core activities: developing annual strategic directions, fostering cross-talk and collaboration across the social, behavioral, and economic research community, and providing and disseminating resources for SBE research communities. Applications will receive standard NIH peer review, and only meritorious proposals will be considered for funding.

The opportunity is assigned to four Assistance Listings: 93.865 (Child Health and Human Development Extramural Research), 93.361 (Nursing Research), 93.307 (Minority Health and Health Disparities Research), and 93.866 (Aging Research). The source does not specify an award ceiling, award floor, expected number of awards, period of performance, place of performance, cost share requirements, evaluation weighting, or incumbent recipient name. The funding instrument encompasses both grants and cooperative agreements. A full Notice of Funding Opportunity with application deadlines and complete terms will be released at a future date; applicants should monitor NIH Grants.gov for the NOFO announcement.
