The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Educational Partnership Program is accepting applications for fiscal year (FY) 2017 for Grants to Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) for Military-Connected Academic and Support Programs (MCASP). To advance to new levels of excellence, DoDEA's top priority for all military-connected students is College and Career Readiness. DoDEA is committed to ensuring that all military-connected students have access to academic standards that progressively build the conceptual and procedural understanding and application of the knowledge, skills, and dispositions essential for students to successfully meet the high demands of today's colleges, careers, and citizenship responsibilities. Through the MCASP, DoDEA collaborates with military-connected LEAs to ensure that students receive the level of preparation required in order to successfully transition to a postsecondary institution offering a degree or certification program or in a career pathway where one can achieve a sustaining career. The DoDEA Educational Partnership and Resources Branch, which executes the MCASP, provides resources to military-connected school districts to allow for the expansion of existing programs.
