About this opportunity

This Notice of Funding Opportunity from the Department of State Bureau of Population Refugees and Migration seeks proposals from eligible NGOs for cooperative agreements to support health, food security, or nutrition programs benefiting refugees in Ethiopia's Afar, Amhara, and Gambella regions. Applicants must propose programs serving at least 50% refugees, with submissions due by March 22, 2024 to be evaluated based on a needs assessment, program description, objectives and indicators, monitoring and evaluation plan, coordination efforts, and sustainability. Successful applicants will report outputs and outcomes on a quarterly and annual basis for awards between $500,000 to $2,000,000.

Performance on awarded cooperative agreements will take place across the Afar, Amhara, and Gambella regions of Ethiopia, serving refugee populations spread across those locations. Funding will contribute to basic needs assistance for refugees and conflict victims across Sub-Saharan and North Africa under the Overseas Refugee Assistance Programs for Africa (CFDA #19.517).
