About this opportunity
The Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration seeks applications from state workforce agencies to fund ongoing administrative costs for the Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) program through June 30, 2027, with applications due June 22, 2026. This opportunity funds residual administrative activity related to expired CARES Act unemployment programs and is available exclusively to state workforce agencies (SWAs), including those in U.S. territories and the District of Columbia.
Allowable uses of funds include program integrity activities and fraud combat efforts, data integrity and retention activities, audit-related and oversight activities, and other proposed administrative costs. All awarded amounts are subject to a 5.7 percent sequestration reduction per OMB BBEDCA 251A Sequestration for FY 2026. SWAs must submit complete application packages consisting of SF-424 and SF-424A forms through Grants.gov, along with a UI Grant Application and detailed budget narrative submitted via email to eta-ui-inquiries@dol.gov with a copy to the appropriate Regional Office by June 18, 2026.
Recipients must submit quarterly financial reports (ETA 9130) and narrative progress reports (ETA 9178) for the duration of the grant period. Nonfederal entities expending $750,000 or more in Federal awards are subject to a single or program-specific audit; those expending less are exempt from Federal audit requirements for that year. State workforce agencies are also subject to audits by the Department of Labor or other authorized government agencies.
