About this opportunity
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is seeking three national organizations to develop and deliver technical assistance (TA) through cooperative agreements targeting health centers. The primary objectives include supporting comprehensive, high-quality primary healthcare delivery, improving chronic disease management and preventive services, enhancing operational effectiveness, addressing emergent public health needs, and ensuring compliance with Health Center Program requirements. Eligible applicants include tribal organizations, for-profit and non-profit entities, state and local governments, educational institutions, and small businesses. The evaluation will likely focus on applicants' demonstrated capabilities to provide robust technical assistance across multiple formats, including national audience sessions, communities of practice, and outcomes-focused cohorts. The application deadline is March 31, 2026, with an expected award date of July 29, 2026.
The total funding available is $24 million, with $8 million allocated for each of the three cooperative agreements. The performance period will span from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2030, providing a four-year opportunity for selected organizations to implement comprehensive technical assistance programs. The awards will be structured as cooperative agreements, indicating substantial federal agency involvement and collaboration throughout the project's implementation. The technical assistance will be delivered nationwide, targeting existing and potential health centers across various geographical and organizational contexts. Each awardee will be expected to develop and execute technical assistance strategies that meaningfully improve health center operations and service delivery.
