About this opportunity

The AmeriCorps State and National Native Nation Planning Grants provide up to $240,000 in funding for a 12-month planning period to eligible Indian Tribes and tribal organizations. The grants are administered by the Corporation for National and Community Service and aim to support the development of AmeriCorps programs that will engage members in solving community problems. Key requirements include having an active System for Award Management (SAM) registration, submitting a detailed planning process timeline, demonstrating organizational capability, and completing an Operational and Financial Management Survey. Applications will be evaluated based on program design (50%), organizational capability (25%), and budget adequacy (25%). The application deadline is April 9, 2025, with successful applicants to be notified by the end of May 2025 and awards issued by mid-July 2025. The project period cannot start before August 15, 2025.

This is a cost reimbursement grant opportunity, with match requirements waived for tribal applicants. AmeriCorps will prioritize applications that design programs meeting community needs and demonstrate the ability to transform the planning grant into a future AmeriCorps programming application. Applicants must include at least one aligned performance measure corresponding to the proposed primary intervention.
