About this opportunity

This Federal Grant Opportunity, titled "Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 AmeriCorps State and National Native Nation Grants," is offered by the Corporation for National and Community Service. The program provides funding for Indian Tribes and tribal organizations to engage AmeriCorps members in community service activities across several priority areas, including civic engagement, youth mental health, STEM education, traditional Native languages and cultural practices, sustainable food systems, economic opportunity, and healthy futures. Applications are due by April 9, 2025, and successful applicants will be notified by the end of May 2025, with awards issued by mid-July 2025. The grants will be made for three-year periods, subject to the availability of annual appropriations and satisfactory performance.

The maximum cost per Member Service Year (MSY) for the Native Nations Program is $25,000, and AmeriCorps members can serve in full-time to abbreviated-time positions, with living allowances ranging from $20,400 to $40,800 for full-time members. Match requirements are waived for this funding opportunity to reduce the burden on Tribal Nations. The service activities are expected to take place within the communities of the eligible Indian Tribes and tribal organizations.
