About this opportunity
The Farm Business Management and Benchmarking Competitive Grants Program is seeking applicants to maintain and expand a national farm financial management database through establishing collaborative farm management education programs. The National Institute of Food and Agriculture within the Department of Agriculture will award 4 to 6 grants up to $500,000 each for up to 3 years to support improved farm management knowledge and skills. Applicants such as state agricultural experiment stations, universities and research foundations will be evaluated based on their ability to maintain the database, establish education programs, advance data and research, and improve producers' financial management abilities. Applications for this opportunity are due February 7, 2024.
Approximately $2.35 million in total funding is available to support projects starting September 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025, 2026 or 2027.
