About this opportunity
The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs seeks to expand access to substance abuse treatment and prevention services for rural and indigenous communities in Peru through a cooperative agreement. Eligible organizations are invited to submit applications to carry out projects using the Universal Treatment Curriculum specialized series for rural intervention, with the goal of identifying gaps and improving rural healthcare access. Proposals must assess needs and barriers, strengthen provider capacity, enhance collaboration, and develop monitoring systems for at-risk communities in targeted regions. Applicants are expected to receive approximately $300,000 over 24-36 months beginning in April 2024 to achieve the stated goals.
The anticipated funding level is $300,000 for a single recipient over a performance period of 24 to 36 months beginning in April 2024. The expected place of performance for funded projects will be rural and indigenous communities in targeted regions of Peru. The funding opportunity is assigned to the Counter Narcotics program (CFDA 19.704) administered by the Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics Law Enforcement to disrupt overseas drug production and trafficking.
