About this opportunity
The Digital Humanities Advancement Grants program supports innovative digital humanities projects through two application deadlines in 2024. Administered by the National Endowment for the Humanities, this program seeks applications from nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, and state and local governments. Eligible projects must be innovative, experimental, or computationally challenging and enhance scholarly research, teaching, or public programming in the humanities. Approximately $2.2 million will be awarded among 10-15 recipients at each deadline through a merit-based peer review process. Application deadlines are January 11 and June 13, 2024.
Funding is available at three levels up to $75,000, $150,000, and $350,000 respectively, with the option to request up to $100,000 in additional federal matching funds for Level III projects. Awarded funds support work performed in the applicant's location under the administration of a single recipient organization. Successful applicants will be announced in August and December 2024 for projects beginning between September 2024 through March 2025 depending on the application deadline.
