About this opportunity
The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is offering a cooperative agreement through the Delta Region Community Health Systems Development Program (HRSA-25-033) to provide comprehensive, multi-year technical assistance for improving healthcare delivery in the Mississippi Delta region. The program seeks eligible applicants, including public/private non-profit and for-profit entities, to deliver services focused on financial/operational improvements, quality enhancement, workforce development, telehealth implementation, and care coordination. Key evaluation criteria include demonstrated experience providing technical assistance to rural healthcare organizations, particularly in the Delta region, and capacity to manage a network of technical experts. Applications are due by March 18, 2025.
The program will provide one cooperative agreement award of up to $10 million per year for a 5-year period (September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2030) to assist approximately 10 rural healthcare organizations annually across 252 counties and parishes in eight Delta region states (Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Tennessee). The recipient must allocate at least 20% of funding to purchase software and equipment for participating organizations to implement recommended best practices.
Synopsis
The Delta Region Community Health Systems Development Program provides comprehensive, multi-year technical assistance (TA) to help rural healthcare organizations in the rural counties and parishes of the Delta region improve healthcare services.
