About this opportunity
The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Division of Preservation and Access is offering the Cultural and Community Resilience grant program. This grant supports community-based efforts to mitigate the impacts of climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic, safeguard cultural resources, and foster cultural resilience. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, state/local governments, and federally recognized Native American tribal governments, with a focus on disadvantaged communities. Applications should employ inclusive methodologies and fall into one of two categories: community collecting initiatives or oral history programs. The optional draft submission deadline is April 11, 2024, and the final application deadline is May 28, 2024.
The program anticipates awarding approximately $2.5 million in grants of up to $150,000 each to 15-20 recipients, who will be announced in December 2024. Funded projects must take place between February 2025 and September 2025 and are categorized under the Promotion of the Humanities program (CFDA 45.149) within the NEH Division of Preservation and Access.
