About this opportunity
The U.S. Geological Survey is soliciting applications for a cooperative agreement to develop an Innovation Landscape in the Southern Great Plains for accelerating technology transfer to Department of War military installations, with applications due June 29, 2026. Only participating Gulf Coast Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) partners are eligible to apply.
The USGS will make one award totaling $460,000 over five years, with $100,000 available in Budget Year 1 and the remainder distributed across four additional budget years contingent on satisfactory progress. Evaluation will weight purpose and relevance to wildfire risk reduction and technology acceleration at 45 points, technical approach and feasibility at 25 points, budget justification and staffing at 15 points, and applicant qualifications and experience in military partnerships and regulatory facilitation at 15 points.
