About this opportunity

This grant opportunity seeks to mobilize community resources to increase long-term recovery support for those with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Applicants may include organizations other than state or local governments. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration aims to connect recovery communities and improve quality of support through grants awarded under the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Projects of Regional and National Significance program. Applications will be evaluated based on their ability to meet the stated purpose and are due no later than April 29, 2024.

Award amounts are not specified but grants will fund one to five year projects performing work nationwide. Expected places of performance include community-based organizations providing long-term recovery services to address priority substance abuse and mental health needs.

Synopsis

The purpose of this program is to mobilize and connect a broad array of community-based resources to increase the availability and quality of long-term recovery support for persons with substance use disorders (SUD) and co-occurring substance use and mental disorders (COD). Recipients will be expected to support the development, enhancement, expansion, and delivery of recovery support services (RSS) directly to individuals as well as advance the promotion of, and education about, recovery at a community level.
