About this opportunity

Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofits and public and private higher education institutions; applicants must demonstrate expert knowledge and extensive experience in drug research and data analysis.
The cooperative agreement will support graduate students and recent post-graduates conducting rigorous research studies and data analyses to inform the National Drug Control Strategy. Work will investigate dynamic shifts in illicit drug supply, drug use patterns, and associated consequences to enable public health and public safety officials to anticipate drug outbreaks and develop faster, more effective responses.
The program operates under CFDA 95.007 (Research and Data Analysis). Recent cooperative agreements under this CFDA have ranged from approximately $150 thousand to $700 thousand. The cooperative agreement term is 12 months with possible extensions.
Applications must demonstrate the applicant organization's expertise and extensive experience in drug research and data analysis or will not be considered. Grantees must maintain complete records on fund disposition and retain grant-related records for three years. Audits conducted under 2 C.F.R. 200, Subpart F must be submitted no later than nine months after the close of the recipient's audited fiscal year to The Federal Audit Clearinghouse.
