About this opportunity

This federal grant opportunity from the Department of State Bureau of Population Refugees and Migration seeks proposals to support refugees in Chad, Cameroon, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Proposed activities should primarily aid Nigerian, Sudanese, and Central African refugees in Chad, Nigerian and Central African refugees in Cameroon, and Central African refugees in the DRC. To be considered, projects must include at least a 50% target beneficiary base of refugees. Applicants should review the NOFO, instructions, and ensure proposals are submitted by April 20, 2020. Funding will be provided through a cooperative agreement under the Overseas Refugee Assistance Programs for Africa CFDA number 19.517.

Assistance awarded through this opportunity will contribute to meeting the basic needs of refugees and conflict victims across the African continent. Potential recipients are expected to perform work in Chad to benefit Nigerian, Sudanese, and Central African refugees; in Cameroon to benefit Nigerian and Central African refugees; and in the Democratic Republic of the Congo's northwest region to benefit Central African refugees. NGOs will be key partners in delivering specialized assistance to refugees in these areas.
