Forecast text

The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) has a need for a bridge contract to the incumbent for cafeteria services at the National Mine Safety and Health Academy (Academy) located in Beaver, WV for a period of five months.  The National Mine Health and Safety Academy provides meals to the mine inspector trainees staying at the Academy along with people attending the Academy under a program supported through an MSHA state grant. OSPE has requested a bridge to be put in place while the new contract is still in the process of being put in place. This will allow for a proper five-year contract to be put in place and allow a transition period for the new vendor. A lapse in services would be detrimental to the training of the students and DOL personnel attending training at the facility. This facility also serves as a COOP site for the entire Department of Labor.
