About this opportunity
The U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) has issued a Special Notice to announce its intent to award a sole-source contract for Zixi's Software-Defined Video Platform (SDVP) and associated cloud services. The SDVP includes a proprietary transmission protocol, control plane, and broadcast cloud services, which the USAGM's TSI Global Network Division has utilized for the past five years to distribute content from its broadcast networks globally.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform the public of USAGM's plan to award a follow-on contract with a one-year base period and four option years to Zixi for its proprietary SDVP solution. The contract is set aside for small businesses, and USAGM will consider any capability statements submitted within 10 days before making a final determination to limit competition. Zixi currently has no reseller partners and does not plan to add any in the future, leading USAGM to conclude that Zixi is the only source capable of providing the required services.
