The procurement requires the Zantiks LT Z3 system (self-contained unit for scripted experiments with rats, mice, zebrafish, and insects, featuring visual stimulus display, audio stimulus, overall lighting, reward delivery, and heater-only temperature control maintaining 2–8 degrees Celsius above ambient) and the MWP Z3 system (for zebrafish embryos and larvae, Drosophila, with temperature control to 2–10 degrees Celsius above ambient, vibratory stimulus in two modes, audio stimulus, LED color-selectable light stimulation for optogenetic studies, and overall lighting). Accompanying equipment includes two choice arena plates, one side view stand, ten passive olfactory plates with six chambers each, two active flow olfactometers, and six active flow plates. Equipment must support high-speed tracking to 600 frames per second, networked web-based control via Zanscript language, integrated computer and camera systems, 12V power operation, telecentric imaging, 30 frames per second continuous video tracking with XY coordinates and pixel change recording, multi-orientation capability, optogenetic stimulation integration, compact dimensions of 20 x 30 x 50 cm, and responsive annotation features.
Award is made on a firm fixed-price basis to the lowest priced, technically acceptable quoter. Evaluation employs lowest price technically acceptable methodology; only the lowest-priced quotation is initially evaluated for technical acceptability. Quoters must provide descriptive literature demonstrating conformance to salient characteristics, identify products by brand name and model number, and list place of manufacture. Pricing must remain firm for 90 calendar days from the quote due date. Delivery is FOB Destination to USDA ARS FTDP in Albany, California. Contracting Officer Melissa Santos, 504-286-4428.
