About this opportunity

The Naval Sea Systems Command (Department of the Navy) is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the procurement of Yamaha 4.3L V6 Offshore F350 outboard marine engines on a brand name or equal basis. The solicitation, identified as Combined Synopsis/Solicitation N0017826Q6655, seeks two units of outboard engines with manufacturer part numbers F350XSA and LF350XSA (one unit each). All quoted prices must include shipping and freight to the delivery location in Dahlgren, Virginia, as well as any applicable tariff or duty charges, with no additional costs permitted after award. The government notes that these Yamaha engines are new releases that have undergone preliminary testing; switching to alternative manufacturers would necessitate evaluation and testing of replacement parts, which would delay program scheduling. The solicitation is eligible for small business set-aside and requires Trade Agreements Act (TAA) compliance. The offer due date is January 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM, with the government point of contact being Susan Madison at 540-613-3296 or susan.h.madison.civ@us.navy.mil.

The solicitation is designated as a 100 percent women-owned small business (WOSB) set-aside, with a NAICS code of 333618 and a size standard of 1,500 employees. The contract is issued on a firm fixed-price basis with a delivery period of seven weeks from the date of award. Interested contractors must be authorized resellers of Yamaha engines to submit quotations. The requirement falls under FSC Code 6105 for Electrical Motors, and the procurement will utilize Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Part 12 for commercial items. Delivery is required to Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren, located at 6220 Tisdale Road, Suite 159, Building 125, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5114, with receiving hours Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. local time. The government will conduct inspection and acceptance within 15 to 30 calendar days of delivery, with payment processed through the Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF) system.
