About this opportunity

The Army Contracting Command seeks five line items of Yamaha marine engines and propellers to support the Caribbean Security Basin Initiative Technical Assistance Field Team's mission assisting Eastern Caribbean Partner Nations, with offers due July 16, 2026, at 9:00 AM. The procurement is a Total Small Business set-aside and carries a brand-name requirement (Yamaha only) to maximize competition among authorized dealers and direct suppliers while ensuring integration with existing Jamaica Defense Force Coast Guard vessel systems.

Place of performance is Doral, Florida, with delivery to USSOUTHCOM SCSHQ by November 30, 2026, under FOB Destination terms with contractor-paid transportation. The five line items comprise one YAMAHA F300XCB 300HP outboard engine with 25-inch shaft and right-hand rotation, one YAMAHA F300UCB 300HP outboard engine with 30-inch shaft and right-hand rotation, one YAMAHA LF300XCB 300HP outboard engine with 25-inch shaft and left-hand rotation, two Yamaha 6CE45972200 SWS2 W-SDS propellers (15x21-T), and one Yamaha 6CF45972200 SWS2 W-SDS propeller (3x15x21-TL). All items must be new equipment only with manufacturer warranties (3-year pleasure/government coverage or 1-year commercial). Quoters must be authorized Yamaha dealers or vendors capable of directly supplying the specified engines; quotes from third-party brokers will be deemed non-responsive. Evaluation is based on lowest evaluated price for technically acceptable quotes. Quoters must hold prices firm for 30 calendar days, be registered in SAM prior to award, and submit all-inclusive quotes accounting for any Government Purchase Card processing fees. Payment may be made via GPC or WAWF. NAICS 333618, PSC 2895.

Notice text

This brand-name (Yamaha) acquisition directly supports the Caribbean Security Basin Initiative (CBSI) Technical Assistance Field Team (TAFT) in their mission to assist Eastern Caribbean Partner Nations with the repair and maintenance of their United States (U.S.) supplied vessels. The Jamaica Defense Force Coast Guard (JDF-CG) vessels are currently equipped with Yamaha outboards that have exceeded 4,000+ operational hours, surpassing their service life and requiring immediate replacement to maintain asset readiness. Procuring genuine Yamaha Marine engines ensures seamless integration with the existing shipboard suite and returns these critical maritime assets to operational status. By establishing a brand-name-only requirement—rather than a sole-source
award restricted to a single vendor—the government maximizes competition among capable third party suppliers of Yamaha equipment, securing the best-value technical solution and the most costeffective course of action for this vital security cooperation mission.
