About this opportunity

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency published a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole source contract to L-3 Applied Technologies, Inc. The contract is to provide upgrades to the Double-EAGLE and PITHON x-ray simulators and support for upgrades to the Gamble II simulator capabilities at the Naval Research Laboratory.

The upgrades require unique scientific, engineering and technical expertise developed over many years of sponsored pulsed power research and development by L-3 Applied Technologies, Inc. The statutory authority for the non-competitive award is that L-3 is the only responsible source capable of providing this service without unacceptable interruption. The period of performance and value are not specified. Questions regarding the Special Notice can be directed to the point of contact by July 10, 2019.
