About this opportunity
The Bureau of Reclamation seeks procurement of two 35 kW standby generators for delivery to its Wyoming Area Office in Mills, Wyoming by October 1, 2026, with quotations due June 24, 2026 at noon Mountain Daylight Time. This is a total small business set-aside, restricting competition to concerns meeting the SBA size standard for NAICS 335312 (1,250 employees).
Generators must be equivalent to or better than Generac SG035 models with continuous standby rating of 35 kW, LP vapor fuel type, 480V AC three-phase output at 60 Hz, and open set configuration with dimensions not exceeding 100 inches length by 75 inches width by 60 inches height. Heavy-duty industrial frame construction with integrated forklift pockets is required. A winterization package including block heater and battery warmer is mandatory for cold-weather operation in an unheated, uninsulated concrete vault. Generators must feature a digital control panel with automatic safety shutdowns and integrated commercial/industrial control panel. No Auto Transfer Switch is required. The Government will provide on-site escorting for technician access and can provide a load bank for operational commissioning upon request.
Manufacturers must furnish operation and maintenance manuals, warranty documentation, and on-site startup and commissioning within two months of delivery by a certified technician, including a one-hour customer orientation and startup report. All units carry a one-year warranty against material defects, with repair or replacement at no government cost. Pricing must include all costs, delivery, and possible tariffs. Evaluation prioritizes price as the most important factor, followed by technical capabilities and delivery response time. Award is intended for one vendor. Quotations submit to melissa_parkison@ios.doi.gov. Two amendments posted June 8 and June 16 answered industry questions; acknowledgment of amendments is required before the deadline or offers may be rejected.
