About this opportunity
The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking to procure two vertical turbine shaft pumps for the Alcova Powerplant located in Mills, Wyoming. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) solicits commercial pumping equipment with specific technical requirements, including a minimum 40 HP motor, 230-460 Volt/Three Phase/60 Hz electrical specifications, and a single stage 2500 GPM capacity at 50 ft. head pressure. Potential vendors must be registered in SAM.gov and will be evaluated based on price, technical specifications, and delivery schedule. The government anticipates making a firm fixed price award without discussions, though reserves the right to negotiate if necessary. Key dates include a May 26th, 2025 deadline for submitting questions to Contracting Officer Terra Warren, with written quotes due by June 15th, 2025 at 11:59 PM MDT via email.
This procurement is a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 333914 (Measuring, Dispensing, and Other Pumping Equipment Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 750 employees. The pumps will be delivered to 205 Chamberlain Rd, Mills, WY 82604, and can be shipped in smaller components without requiring full assembly prior to delivery. While the specific contract value is not explicitly stated, the solicitation suggests a straightforward procurement for two pumps with specific technical requirements. The equipment must be constructed with specialized materials including bronze bearings, 416 stainless steel shafts, and carbon steel columns with an enamel exterior coating. The procurement is part of the Department of the Interior's Bureau of Reclamation's equipment replacement or upgrade efforts for the Alcova Powerplant.
