About this opportunity

Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) anticipates procuring 25 each of NSN 1R-6150-016915736-V2 wiring harnesses built to TDP VER 001, delivered FOB origin, with responses due November 10, 2026. Only previously Government-approved sources have been solicited, and Government source approval is required before award because the item is flight critical and the available technical data has not been determined adequate for full and open competition. The notice carries a "No Set-Aside Used" designation.

Non-approved firms must submit, with their proposal, the technical data specified in one of the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Source Approval Information Brochures for spares or repair, or a copy of the cover letter for a pending source approval request. Offers that omit required data, or do not document prior submission of it, will not be considered for award. The notice states that source approval normally takes too long for award to wait on it.

The design is unstable: engineering, manufacturing, or performance objectives have not been met, and major changes are contemplated due to low process yield or marginal test or service performance. Those changes will render the present configuration obsolete. Limited acquisition or repair from the present source is anticipated pending configuration changes.

The procurement is classified under PSC 6150, Miscellaneous Electric Power and Distribution Equipment. The notice was posted September 12, 2025.
