About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command seeks wire thermocouple replacement parts for the Main Propulsion Diesel Engine Combined Exhaust Thermocouple system aboard USS New Orleans (LPD-18), with quotations due September 7 at 10:00 AM local time. This is a sole-source acquisition to Fairbanks Morse, LLC justified on the basis that these are direct OEM replacement parts with no authorized distributors and no responsible alternative source; the Government will consider responses from all interested parties solely to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement.

Place of performance is the United States, with delivery FOB Origin from Fairbanks Morse's facility in Beloit, Wisconsin to Yokosuka, Japan. The requirement comprises seven line items totaling approximately 5,316 units: 4,800 inches of 16 AWG Type KX Kapton-insulated thermocouple extension wire (Part Number 12996704N); 300 inches of 3/16-inch diameter white RNF-100 Type 1 heat shrink sleeving (Part Number 2AJG12057); 8 each 3/8 NPT conduit fittings (Part Number 11914265); 600 inches of 3/8-inch stainless steel flex conduit (Part Number 2ASE12011); 16 total liquidtight strain relief connectors (Parts 2ASE12017 and P12618989); and 4 each 1/2 by 3/8-inch conduit reducing bushings (Part Number 91800719). All items carry firm fixed-price, FOB Origin terms with a delivery deadline of September 24, 2026. The Government will evaluate offers on three factors in no relative order of importance: technical capability including delivery date, past performance, and price. Single award will be made for all items due to supply interrelationship. The NAICS code is 335932, Noncurrent-Carrying Wiring Device Manufacturing; PSC is 6145, Wire and Cable, Electrical. Award is anticipated approximately two weeks after closing. Contact: Vicktoria Wright, Vicktoria.e.wright.civ@us.navy.mil.
