About this opportunity

The National Park Service (NPS) Intermountain Region has issued a Special Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract to Conserv Solutions Inc, located in Birmingham, Alabama. The contract is for a museum datalogger program designed to track and record temperature, humidity, pest management, and lighting in museum exhibits and storage spaces. Scheduled for a three-year period from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2028, the contract will be executed under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1) using procedures outlined in FAR Parts 12 and 13. The procurement falls under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 518210 for Computing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting, and Related Services. The Special Notice specifically highlights that this is a non-competitive acquisition based on Conserv Solutions being the sole provider of a comprehensive museum monitoring solution.

The primary objective of this Special Notice is to satisfy FAR Subpart 5.2 requirements by providing transparency for a sole source procurement. Contractors should note that this is not a competitive solicitation, and no additional quotes will be requested. Interested parties or those with potential feedback are instructed to submit any electronic communications to rebecca_myers@nps.gov no later than March 7, 2025, at 12:00 PM Mountain Time. The specific requirement includes one gateway and 30 sensors for exhibit cases and museum storage, structured as a three-year subscription-based service. Conserv Solutions was selected due to their unique capability to provide integrated monitoring of temperature, humidity, pest management, and light readings, which addresses the current limitations of the NPS Visitor Center's existing datalogger system. The procurement has received approvals from both the IT department and the Museum Management Program, ensuring comprehensive evaluation of the sole source justification.
