About this opportunity
Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command is conducting market research to supply and install three dedicated vacuum systems in maintenance docks at Whiteman Air Force Base, with a sources sought response due July 30, 2026. This is a Total Small Business set-aside.
Work is performed at Whiteman AFB in three maintenance bays (Docks 1-2, Docks 3-4, and Docks 5-6), with one integrated system serving two docks. The contractor must remove and dispose of one existing defunct vacuum pump system and connect new systems to existing facility non-corrosive piping.
Each vacuum system must be a fully self-contained unit mounted on a custom heavy-duty steel sled platform integrating the pump, motor, inlet filter, starter, and an 80-gallon dedicated receiver tank. Performance specifications require 98 kPa (29 in Hg) continuous vacuum and minimum 1.70 m³/min (60.0 cfm) free air delivery. Units operate on 200 Volt, 3-Phase, 60Hz electrical supply with cast iron construction, high-grade synthetic lubricant, and low oil-level safety switches. Required components include three Ingersoll Rand Model V255D5 vacuum pumps (or equal), three 80-gallon receiver tanks, CT 851-200C inlet filters, 200V motors, E-Series starters, auto start/stop control panels, vibration isolation pads, custom sled assemblies, and flexible vacuum hoses.
Installation, integration, testing, and cleanup must be completed within 120 days after order receipt during regular working hours (0730–1600) on weekdays only. The contractor provides a three-year warranty on all equipment, parts, and workmanship. Security requirements include base identification per AFI 31-101 unescorted entry requirements and compliance with 509 OSS Operational Security Program, including prohibitions on personal electronic devices and photography without permits.
