About this opportunity
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has published a Special Notice indicating its intent to award a single-source, firm-fixed price contract to EMD MILLIPORE CORP for the preventative maintenance of three MilliQ IQ water purification systems. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, and no solicitation document currently exists for this requirement.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to determine if a competitive procurement is warranted. NOAA is requesting capability statements from interested parties by June 11, 2024, which must include technical data, cost information, and convincing evidence of the contractor's ability to meet the requirement. The services required include one annual preventative maintenance visit per system, replacement of wear parts, accuracy testing, and a detailed maintenance report. Due to EMD Millipore's requirement that technicians be certified by the manufacturer, they are the only source reasonably available to meet the government's needs, and NOAA intends to award a contract to them without further competition if no other suitable sources are identified.
