Most dredged material (approximately 51,000 cubic yards of fine-grained silt) will be transported via scow approximately 35 miles to the Cape Cod Bay Disposal Site through the Cape Cod Canal, while a smaller sand portion (approximately 1,000 cubic yards) will be placed beneficially at a nearshore site off Church's Beach in Cuttyhunk, Massachusetts, approximately 28 miles away. All work must commence on July 1, 2026, and be completed by December 31, 2026, allowing approximately five months for construction completion.
