About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration (VA) has issued a Special Notice for the leasing of office containers at the Manchester, NH VA Medical Center (VAMC). The notice pertains to a potential sole-source contract with Bluejacket Industries Materials, LLC, the current incumbent contractor providing furnished office unit leasing services. The procurement is being conducted under the authority of 13 CFR 121.406, with a specific focus on NAICS code 532490 for commercial and industrial machinery rental and leasing. The contract will cover office container services including delivery, leveling, routine maintenance, and removal. The VA has determined that Bluejacket Industries is the only suitable and readily available source for these services, with a size standard of $40.0M.
The primary objective of this Special Notice is to provide an opportunity for potential contractors to demonstrate their capability to provide similar services, though the VA is strongly indicating its intent to award a sole-source contract to Bluejacket Industries. Interested parties must submit written responses by January 24, 2025, at 2:30 PM EST to Kathryn Avent-Ortega via email at kathryn.avent-ortega@va.gov. Responses should clearly and concisely document the offeror's capability to provide the required services, with verbal responses explicitly not being accepted. The VA emphasizes that this notice is not a request for competitive proposals, and any information submitted will be used solely to determine if conducting a competitive procurement is in the government's best interest. Contractors should note that all information must be provided at no cost or obligation to the government, and the VA retains full discretion in making a final determination about the procurement approach.
