About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command, through the 7th Contracting Squadron at Dyess Air Force Base in Texas, is seeking industry feedback on a draft Statement of Work for an Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract to install and integrate Honeywell Vindicator alarm systems. This Request for Information (RFI) is classified under NAICS 561621 (Security Systems Services, except Locksmiths) and PSC N063 (Installation of Equipment—Alarm, Signal, and Security Detection Systems). The procurement involves comprehensive installation of intrusion detection systems and integrated access control systems across multiple buildings at Dyess AFB to maintain Top Secret collateral facility accreditation. Key requirements include site surveys, IT cabinet installation, fiber optic connectivity to the Base Defense Operations Center, door-mounted card readers with electronic locks, system programming, end-user training, and comprehensive testing with 72-hour operational validation. All work must comply with Department of Defense Manual 5200.01 Volume 3 and applicable Air Force Instructions. Responses to this market research RFI must be submitted by 11:00 A.M. Central Standard Time on March 13, 2026, directed to A1C Christian Limtiaco or TSgt Trevor Finch.
This is a non-binding Request for Information for market research purposes only and does not constitute a formal solicitation, obligate the government to award a contract, or commit to reimbursing respondents for proposal preparation costs. No set-aside designations apply to this procurement. Honeywell is identified as the incumbent system manufacturer for the Vindicator alarm system, though the contract structure has not yet been finalized. The RFI does not specify an estimated award value or budget range, as this is a pre-solicitation market research phase intended to refine the scope and structure of the SOW prior to formal solicitation release. The anticipated contract will be structured in three phases covering hardware installation, end-user training and maintenance, and comprehensive testing. Contractor personnel are required to work Monday through Friday from 0800 to 1630 hours, and a Honeywell-certified technician must oversee installation and final certification. Respondents should note that submissions are voluntary, materials will not be returned, and individual respondents will not be notified of government assessment results.
