About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Strategic Systems Programs is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive vessel maintenance, repair, operation, preventive, predictive, corrective, and depot-level maintenance services for various watercraft, boats, and equipment at NOTU Cape Canaveral. The contract scope includes waterfront equipment repair and refurbishment, industrial marine repair services, and port operations support. All services must be provided on a firm fixed-price basis with no overtime authorized, and the contractor is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and ensuring effective completion of all work outlined in the attached Performance Work Statement. Interested parties are encouraged to conduct site visits, which can be arranged through submission of a visitor's request form and completion of required training. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on January 30, 2026, with responses due by February 27, 2026. The contracting officer has not specified formal evaluation criteria in the summary, but interested vendors should review the full Performance Work Statement for detailed service specifications and requirements.
This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to small business concerns. The pre-solicitation documents reference an existing contract modification (SF 30) related to security boat maintenance, suggesting this may be a continuation or re-competition of previous work, though the incumbent contractor name is not identified in the available materials. No specific budget range or award value has been disclosed in the notice. The performance work statement will specify the detailed timeline for services, though the exact period of performance dates should be confirmed within the attached PWS documentation. Prospective bidders should note that base access to NOTU Cape Canaveral requires completion of security procedures, including submission of a Base Credential Request form and mandatory security and safety training, which must be completed before site visits or contract performance can commence.
