6/11/2021 - QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
- What kind of lead time will the contractor be given before the vessel is needed?
ANSWER: Two weeks
- Would an option involving two boats be acceptable? This option would consist of a mother ship that the scientists would stay on. The mothership would have a galley, AC, cabins, and everything to sleep and stay on the boat. The second boat would be a support boat. The support boat would be similar to a commercial fishing vessel that would have additional workspace, the hydraulic lifting system, and the hoisting mechanism on it as needed for the contract. This option would be less expensive. ANSWER: No, due to safety issues of transferring personnel between vessels and the need to monitor the video cameras charging and downloading overnight which would be on the support vessel.
6/7/2021 VENDOR QUESTIONS and ANSWERS:
1. SOW it explains that this contract is for a base plus two options periods. However, in the solicitation, section VI says that this contract has only one option year. Which is the case? ANSWER: Should be Base plus ONE OPTION
