About this opportunity

The 628th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, has issued a notice of intent to award a single source contract for Vehicle Barrier Troubleshooting and maintenance services. The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command requires specialized maintenance and troubleshooting services for Allen-Bradley control systems at Charleston and Weapons Station barriers, specifically focusing on diagnosing communication errors between control panels. The procurement is being conducted under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) as a non-competitive single source award, with the government intending to award the contract to Global GRAB Technologies, Inc. based on their proprietary programming knowledge and status as the original system installer. The contractor must provide a qualified Field Engineer capable of utilizing diagnostic tools to analyze communication paths and produce detailed reports documenting the diagnostic process, findings, and root cause analysis. Although this is not a competitive solicitation, responsible sources may submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations for consideration, with all responses due by 2:00 PM on July 28, 2025.

This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside under NAICS code 561621 for Security Systems Services. Global GRAB Technologies, Inc., located at 277 Mallory Station Rd #112, Franklin, TN 37067, is the intended single source awardee based on market research conducted by the contracting squadron. The contract falls under PSC code J063 for maintenance, repair, and rebuild of alarm, signal, and security detection systems equipment. The solicitation number is FA441825Q0051, and the government has determined that no alternative providers are capable of delivering the required specialized maintenance services due to the unique proprietary nature of the systems involved. The contract scope requires on-site diagnostic services to troubleshoot communication failures in critical security barrier systems, though specific contract values, quantities, or performance timelines were not disclosed in the available documentation.
