The Naval Facility Engineering Command Washington (NAVFAC WASH) is planning to develop energy conservation projects at our facilities. We are surveying the interest of all electric, natural gas, and water utilities serving a number of our facilities including NSA Bethesda, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington Navy Yard, Naval Support Facility (NSF) Suitland, and NSF Naval Observatory. In particular, we would like to know your company’s energy management services, willingness, experience and qualifications to provide support to the following types of projects:
- Energy management control system replacement/alteration
- Interior and exterior lighting replacement
- Boiler controls improvement
- Waste heat recovery
- Cooling tower retrofit
- Chiller retrofit or replacement
- Upgrade of boilers with new controls (low NOx burners)
- Steam trap maintenance and replacement/Steam Decentralization
- Variable speed drive utilization
- Renewable energy systems
We are interested in awarding viable projects utilizing the Authorization for Energy Management Services.
This is only a request for information regarding your company’s energy management services offerings, willingness, experience, and qualifications to provide a customized UESC program for NAVFAC WASH and does not constitute authorization to proceed with any work.
If your company is prepared to offer such services as identified above, commonly referred to as Utility Energy Services Contracts (UESCs), we would like to meet with your organization.
Please contact Jee Blanton, Contracting Officer, email, jeeeunblanton@navy.mil/phone 202-685-3299 or Peter Kho, Contracting Officer, email: peter.kho@navy.mil/phone: 202-685-3134 to indicate your interest and to arrange a meeting to set the groundwork for a partnership beneficial to both of our organizations.
