About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command has issued a Special Notice regarding a sole-source contract opportunity for the inspection, testing, and repair of submarine high- and low-pressure air compressors and dehydrators. The agency intends to award this firm-fixed price contract to the original equipment manufacturer, Curtiss-Wright, to support the submarine operations at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility.

The purpose of this notice is to determine if there are any other interested parties capable of satisfying the government's requirements, which include conducting operational inspections, 2000-hour maintenance, and restoring the equipment to full operational capability per the original equipment manufacturer's specifications. Interested parties have until October 23, 2024 to respond with clear and convincing documentation demonstrating their capabilities. However, the government retains sole discretion in deciding whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on the responses received. The contract period of performance is estimated to be from January 2025 to March 2026, with the majority of the work to be completed by February 2026. Only contractors registered in the System for Award Management are eligible for award consideration.
