The requirement encompasses 27 distinct repair work items for this US Navy vessel and is classified under NAICS code 336611 for Ship Building and Repairing. Contractors must be duly authorized to operate and conduct business within the Kingdom of Bahrain as mandated by DFARS 225.1103(3), effectively restricting the opportunity to local Bahrain-based vendors. Proposals are due on July 14, 2025, providing contractors with an extremely compressed timeline of just one day from the posting date of July 13, 2025.

This solicitation operates without any set-aside designations, making it a full and open competition among qualified Bahrain contractors. The notice does not identify any incumbent contractors or provide specific award values or budget ranges for the repair work. The scope includes 27 repair work items, though the specific nature, complexity, or estimated duration of these repairs is not detailed in the synopsis. All work will be performed in Bahrain, aligning with the geographic restriction that limits participation to contractors authorized to operate within the Kingdom of Bahrain. The solicitation follows FAR 5.202(a)(12) as a non-mandatory synopsis, indicating this is a streamlined procurement process with limited advance notice to the contractor community.
