About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command's NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Yokosuka Site Singapore is seeking contractors to perform a Regular Overhaul/Dry-dock Availability (ROH/DD) for the USNS YUKON (T-AO 202), a naval auxiliary oiler vessel. The comprehensive maintenance work encompasses ten major categories including general services, hull and structural maintenance, propulsion machinery, electrical systems, communication and navigation equipment, auxiliary machinery, habitability systems, HVAC, drydocking operations, and underway replenishment equipment. Contractors must have facilities located in the Indo-Pacific region and be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award. The competitive Firm-Fixed Price solicitation will be evaluated according to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Navy Marine Corps Acquisition Regulation Supplement (NMCARS) guidelines. The solicitation is expected to be released in late September 2025 or early October 2025, and interested parties must monitor SAM.gov for the official release and any amendments.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all responsible sources who can submit compliant proposals. The anticipated contract performance period spans from February 2026 to May 2026, providing approximately three months for completion of the overhaul work. The maintenance plan prioritizes "A" category work items, indicating critical maintenance requirements across multiple ship systems including engine servicing, equipment inspections, non-destructive testing, thickness gauging, equipment overhauls, and refurbishment of specialized underway replenishment equipment such as winches and spanwire mechanisms. While no specific contract value has been disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, the scope encompasses extensive preservation tasks, fire safety systems maintenance, electrical system work, and underwater hull preservation activities. No incumbent contractor information has been provided, suggesting this may be competed among multiple qualified shipyard facilities throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
