About this opportunity

The United States Marshals Service Asset Forfeiture Division has issued a sole source justification notice to award a contract to K2K9 Solutions LLC for specialized animal seizure support services, specifically for canines involved in illegal fighting operations. The services include onsite seizure/evidentiary support, transportation, daily care, veterinary treatment, food, kenneling, expert witness services, and disposal services for seized animals across federal judicial districts. The USMS justified the sole source award under 41 USC 3304(a)(1) by determining that K2K9 Solutions is the only vendor capable of providing immediate nationwide services with 48-hour mobilization while maintaining chain of custody requirements. The contract has an estimated ceiling value of $899,999 and will run from the award date through February 28, 2026, serving as a bridge contract to prevent service disruption while a competitive recompete is developed. K2K9 Solutions is currently housing 208 dogs in federal custody and will continue providing uninterrupted support for the agency's seized and forfeited animal assets. The contract award is scheduled for October 20, 2025, and falls under NAICS code 812910 for Pet Care Services with a $9 million size standard.
