About this opportunity

The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to identify potential sources for three specialized parachute systems: a Container Delivery System Parachute, a Joint Precision Airdrop System Parachute, and a life cycle replacement for the Tandem Offset Resupply Delivery System Parachute. The RFI outlines the key technical requirements for each parachute, including payload capacity, deployment altitudes, and compatibility with existing equipment. MARCORSYSCOM is seeking industry input on parachute descriptions, drawings, test data, pricing, production rates, and small business certifications. Responses are due by October 29, 2024, and should be submitted electronically to the specified contracting personnel. This is a market research effort only and does not constitute a solicitation or offer.

The RFI is not a set-aside, and the government currently anticipates a potential requirement of up to 5 units per parachute system, which is subject to change. The government has not named any potential incumbents or provided any budget ranges or award values, as this is an initial information gathering exercise to inform future requirements. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code associated with this RFI is 314999 - All Other Miscellaneous Textile Product Mills, and the Product Service Code (PSC) is 1670-P - Parachutes; Aerial Pick Up, Delivery, Recovery Systems; And Cargo Tie Down Equipment.
