About this opportunity
The USDA Forest Service is issuing a competitive BPA Call Order against the Land Management Integrated Resources (LMIR) BPA for mountain pine beetle sanitation work across three ranger districts on the Pike National Forest in Colorado, with quotes due August 14, 2026. This procurement is restricted to the 91 companies currently approved as LMIR BPA holders and carries a total small business set-aside (NAICS 115310).
The work involves hand-felling approximately 75 infested ponderosa pine and lodgepole pine trees on the South Platte Ranger District, 20 on the South Park Ranger District, and 40 on the Pikes Peak Ranger District, with optional quantities of up to 200, 100, and 100 additional trees respectively pending post-beetle survey findings. Contractors must chip felled material to a maximum of 3 inches and haul chips off-site. The contract period runs from date of award through May 15, 2027, with work to commence within seven calendar days of notice to proceed.
Evaluation follows a two-step process: pass/fail technical review followed by lowest-price award. Offerors must submit a technical capability statement addressing timeline, personnel, equipment, deliverables, and past performance. Service Contract Act prevailing wages apply across 15 occupational classifications. A post-award conference is mandatory within ten days of award. The contracting officer is JoAnne Meiers (joanne.meiers@usda.gov). Quotes will be issued via email to LMIR BPA holders; search SAM.gov using solicitation number 1284LM26Q0109.
