About this opportunity
The Department of Homeland Security US Coast Guard seeks window sealant remediation and inspection services at USCG Station Rockland in Rockland, Maine, with proposals due September 1. No set-aside applies; award will be made to the low-cost responsive offeror on a firm fixed-price basis.
Scope includes inspection of approximately five front building windows and associated awnings using a water wand test to identify drafts, leaks, or visible damage; submission of a pre-inspection report; removal of old, cracked sealant and thorough surface cleaning; application of new, high-quality, weather-resistant sealant around window frames and awnings; checking and adjustment of window sashes, jambs, sills, flashing, and locks; reinstallation or replacement of worn weather stripping; replacement of any damaged interior trim pieces with matching materials; and a post-inspection with water wand testing to confirm weather-tightness. The contractor must submit structural design for government approval prior to mobilization and provide two causal findings reports documenting leaking issues and corrective measures.
